Batul gave a photograph of a Buddha statue to five graduate artists in China, which he had taken on his travels. With oil paints they each made an impression of this statue, and the result was dazzling.
Today the creative interaction between Buddha to Buddha, designer Nisvan van Zijl and those Chinese artists is powerful. Buddha to Buddha have exhibited work for three consecutive summers in the Bijenkorf, Hollands’ most upmarket shopping mall, as well as many other exhibitions. |
