How do I place an order?

We have tried to make the order process as simple as possible. You can place the products of your choice in your shopping cart, check the shopping cart content, enter your name and address details and you can pay in a secured environment. Do I need an account to place an order?

No, you do not need an account to make a purchase. However, it is easy to create an account and it has some advantages! With an account you will be able to complete future orders faster and keep track of the orders you have placed in the past. It also allows you to easily add items to your wish list.

How do I cancel my order?

You can cancel your order if the order has not yet been processed yet. If you want to cancel your order, please contact our customer service by email, store@buddhatobuddha.com, or call + 31(0)88 20 51 036. If your order has been canceled, you will receive a confirmation from us.

What if a product is not in stock?

All items on our website are in stock. We update our inventory daily. Unfortunately it can happen that a product appears to be out of stock. If that is the case, we will contact you directly and we can keep your order on hold until we receive a new delivery or we will cancel the order.

I wanted to order something but something went wrong. What should I do?

We advise you to use our size charts here. There is a size chart for each jewellery & clothing category.

What are the shipping costs for the UK?

We offer free shipping on orders from £75. The package will be sent with DHL Parcel Connect.

With DDP, you can enjoy a hassle-free international shopping experience, knowing that all duties, taxes, and fees associated with your shipment are taken care of by us. This means that you can focus on what really matters - finding the perfect piece of jewellery to add to your collection. 

What is the delivery time of my order?

The delivery time is 4-5 working days. Your order will be packed with the utmost care and send to your specified delivery address. The shipment will be handled by DHL and will be sent by registered mail. You can track your parcel with a track and trace number that you automatically receive by email. If you are not at home at the time of delivery, the parcel could be delivered at your neighbours or to a pick-up point in your area. In some cases the parcel will be offered again the next working day. Unfortunately, we have no influence on this.

Is it possible to send my order to a pick-up point?

We can’t send a package directly to a pick-up point.

My order has not been delivered after 5 days, what can i do?

If your package has not been delivered within 5 working days, please contact our customer service by email, store@buddhatobuddha.com, or call + 31(0)88 20 51 036, so we can start an investigation. The delivery time to other foreign countries depends on the country.

How can I re-tie my cord bracelet if the knot has come loose?

Our cord bracelets are hand-knotted with adjustable knots, so you can easily adjust the bracelet to the perfect size for you. However, it may happen that when you pull the knot in the wrong way, you accidentally untie it. Is your bracelet now loose? No worries! Your bracelet is not broken. You can simply retie the knot. See the image below and follow the steps!

What is Premium Gold Plated?  

Premium gold plated is made by using electroplating to apply a layer of gold to 925 sterling silver. Next to solid gold, this is one of the most durable methods for producing gold-plated jewelry with a good value for money. We electroplate our jewelry to ensure that the quality and manufacturing process of Buddha to Buddha jewelry remains unchanged. Premium gold plated jewelry consists entirely of precious metal: the core is always made of 925 sterling silver and applying a gold plating of at least 2.5 microns is required by law. This plating is up to five times thicker than regular gold plated jewelry. Buddha to Buddha makes this jewelry with a plating of 3.0 microns to offer the right ratio of price to quality. Our premium gold plated selection is hypoallergenic and therefore suitable for all skin types. 

 

Can premium gold plated jewelry discolor?

Gold plating is a process in which a 3.0 micron layer of gold is applied to a surface of 925 sterling silver. If you have purchased a piece of gold-plated jewelry, keep in mind that the gold layer may wear off over time and silver may show through. Since this is not a solid gold product, you should take extra care to maximize the life of the gold layer. We recommend that you carefully read the recommendations under “How do I care for my jewelry” before wearing your new jewelry. With careful use, the gold layer can last on average between 12 months and several years.  

How do you recognize premium gold plated jewelry (e.g. does it have a quality mark)?

The base material of premium gold plated jewelry consists of recycled 925 sterling silver. Because the jewelry contains an overlay of less than 50 micrometers (5.0 microns) of gold, the material of the overlay does not have a quality mark. This means that the value mark on these items shows the base material, or “925.”  

Where can I purchase gold plated jewelry?

Our premium gold plated collection is only available through our official dealer network and at buddhatobuddha.com. We therefore recommend contacting your local jeweler to inquire if they offer our premium gold plated jewelry in their store.  

How do I care for my jewelry?  

Premium gold plated

If you have purchased premium gold plated jewelry, keep in mind that the gold layer may wear off over time. Gold plating is a process in which we apply a 3.0 micron layer of gold to the surface of recycled 925 sterling silver. Because this is not a solid gold product, you must take extra care to maximize the life of the gold layer. Treat these items with extra care according to the following recommendations:

  • Avoid water and chemicals: Do not wear your jewelry during activities such as exercising, showering, swimming or cleaning, as moisture and chemicals can damage the gold layer.
  • Remove before going to sleep: Take off your jewelry before going to sleep to avoid friction and possible damage.
  • Avoid contact with perfume and cosmetics: Apply cosmetic products such as perfume and hairspray before putting on your jewelry, as these chemicals can damage the gold layer.
  • Store in a dry place: Store your jewelry in a dry and cool environment, preferably in the Buddha to Buddha jewelry box or a tarnish-resistant pouch to prevent scratches and oxidation. Do not store in a humid area, such as the bathroom.
  • Clean gently: Use a soft cloth (such as microfiber) to gently clean your jewelry and to remove dirt and oils. Avoid using silver polishing cloths or tissues as they can scratch the jewelry. Avoid hard materials that can damage the gold layer.
  • Wear with care: Be careful while wearing to avoid scratches and dents, and avoid activities where your jewelry may be exposed to rough surfaces.  

925 Sterling Silver

By following the guidelines below, you can ensure that your silver jewelry is properly maintained, which can prevent oxidation and tarnishing:  
Avoid water and chemicals:

  • Do not wear your silver jewelry during activities such as exercising, showering, swimming or cleaning.
  • Remove before going to sleep: Take off your silver jewelry before going to sleep to avoid friction and possible damage.
  • Avoid contact with perfume and cosmetics: Apply cosmetic products such as perfume and hairspray before putting on your jewelry, as these chemicals can cause oxidation.
  • Store in a dry place: Store your jewelry in a dry and cool environment, preferably in the Buddha to Buddha jewelry box to prevent scratches and oxidation. Do not store in a humid area, such as the bathroom. Jewelry should be stored away from natural sunlight and heat, in a protective (lined) jewelry box or an impact-resistant pouch.
  • Clean gently: Use the Buddha to Buddha silver polishing cloth to gently clean your jewelry and to remove dirt and oils. If necessary, you can gently clean your jewelry with water and silver polish. (Note: this does not apply to leather items, cord, wood and jewelry with stones.) Then gently dry it with a soft cloth.
  • Wear with care: Be careful while wearing to avoid scratches and dents, and avoid activities where your jewelry may be exposed to rough surfaces.

Solid Gold

By following the guidelines below, you can ensure that your solid gold jewelry retains its luster and prevents from tarnishing:

  • Avoid contact with chemicals: Do not wear your solid gold jewelry while using chemicals such as chlorine or detergents, as these can affect the luster of the gold.
  • Store in a safe place: Store your jewelry in a soft cloth bag or jewelry box to avoid scratches. Avoid storing several pieces of jewelry together, as they may damage each other.
  • Clean regularly: Clean your gold jewelry regularly with a mild detergent and a soft brush to remove dirt and oils. Then rinse with warm water and dry gently with a soft cloth or with our Buddha to Buddha gold polishing cloth.
  • Avoid exposure to heat and sunlight: Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and heat, as this can damage the gold.
  • Wear with care: Be careful while wearing your solid gold jewelry to avoid scratches and dents. Remove your jewelry before performing rough work or lifting heavy objects. 

Leather

In addition to all the guidelines mentioned above, it is important to treat your leather jewelry with extra care. Leather is a natural material and can shrink and/or discolor from contact with water. Therefore, it is important to avoid any contact with liquids. Prolonged exposure to UV light and contact with perfume and body lotion can also cause discoloration.

Spirit Beads

Our spirit beads are made from natural gemstones that are processed into beads by hand and by machine. Due to the natural characteristics of the gemstone, individual beads may vary slightly in size or shape. The magnetic closure is made with extreme precision by our artisans. Please avoid contact with water, such as swimming and showering, to prevent damage and rusting of the magnetic clasp.

Black Rhodium  

Keep in mind that a silver polishing cloth is designed to make dull objects shine again. However, black rhodium has a special dark finish, which means that you should avoid using cleaning cloths or chemicals. Fading will therefore occur as part of the natural wear process, causing your jewelry to have a vintage look which is a reflection of you and your personal style. 


RETURNS

Can I return my order?

If for any reason you are not satisfied with your online purchase, you can return the unused items within 30 days after delivery. Purchases in the official Buddha to Buddha webshop cannot be returned or exchanged at other stores. The items must be returned undamaged with the labels still attached.All items are checked upon receipt. Items that are visibly worn, damaged, in an unacceptable condition or returned without labels, will not be accepted. Personalized jewellery cannot be exchanged or returned.

Are returns free of charge?

The shipping costs for your return shipment are for your own expense. Please bring the package to a local post office. We advise you to send the package with a track&trace code. 

Can I exchange my order?

No, it's only possible to return the order. If you would like to receive another model or a different size you can place a new order.

When will I get my money back?

After receiving your return package we will process your return within approximately 5 working days. Buddha to Buddha will use the same payment method that was used for the original payment. The refund is free of charge for you.


What can I do if I have a complaint?

If you have a complaint about our products or our service, you can contact our customer service by email, store@buddhatobuddha.com. You will receive a response within 14 days after receiving your complaint.
