The story behind our famous collections!

As you've probably noticed, all our collections (which we also call our families) have their own names. These are not just any names, but our collections are named after friends of our brand. In a previous Blog, we have already delved deeper into the world of the BIG FIVE and told you more about the origins of these families, but besides our Batul, Ben, Edwin, Nathalie and Chain families, we have many more tribe members with a special story. In this blog, we reveal the stories behind 5 other successful families! Meet Katja, George, Barbara, Ellen and Esther.

The Katja family consists of jewellery with beautifully detailed hand-braided elements. Every Katja piece of jewellery is a real eye-catcher! It takes no less than 2 full days to braid the approximately 127 links of the Katja XS bracelet and a total of 7 days to complete the bracelet. The timeless jewellery of the Katja collection combines perfectly, so be creative and combine jewellery from other families, such as Ellen or Ben. In addition to beautiful silver bracelets, rings, earrings, and pendants, the Katja collection also offers a sophisticated version in the Refined collection. And for those who crave luxury, the Katja family also includes premium 18- and 14-carat gold jewellery, handcrafted by expert goldsmiths and transformed into truly extraordinary pieces. Experience the beauty, quality, and timeless design that the fashionable Katja family has to offer.

Welcome to the stunning George Family – one of the most successful collections by Buddha to Buddha. The George Collection features hand-crafted jewellery with its signature braided texture and exquisite details, making it a true standout in the world of fashion. Our skilled silversmiths use a traditional Asian braiding technique to hand-weave the silver links together, resulting in a piece of jewellery that is both unique and timeless.

Not only does the George Family offer beautiful silver jewellery, but it now also includes luxurious pieces in 14-carat and 18-carat gold. To celebrate our 25th anniversary in 2022, we have introduced the George Limited Collection, featuring stunning pieces with bronze elements based on traditional banana leaf braiding in Bali. In Bali, they make umbrellas and hats, but especially many baskets and small offering baskets from large banana leaves. In the sacrificial baskets, Hindus put rice, biscuits and flowers for the gods. They place these on the street in front of the entrance to their house, shop or restaurant to scare off demons. If you've ever been to Bali, you've probably seen them everywhere! The intricate weave of the banana leaf is showcased on the bracelet, further emphasized by the eye-catching bronze colour. The bronze element of the George Limited Edition items is - just like silver - naturally susceptible to oxidation. The material is alive, the bronze may become a bit darker or copper corrosion may occur, a natural degradation of the material. The rate of oxidation depends on the PH values of your skin.

The Barbara link is another one of our most popular designs and a powerful addition to our collection. Inspired by our famous Barbara weaving, the Barbara family consists of timeless handmade jewellery with a woven texture. The dark elements in the silver, applied through oxidation to add more depth to the jewellery, give the Barbara collection its Buddha to Buddha touch. It takes as many as two full days to weave together the silver of one Barbara bracelet and a total of seven days until a single Barbara bracelet is fully finished and comes to life. The Barbara family consists of both silver and leather bracelets and includes beautiful rings and necklaces made of 925 sterling silver. The family has grown even larger with the arrival of the Barbara Link collection, which combines the iconic Barbara structure in perfect harmony with highly polished elements that give the jewellery a tough yet elegant look.

The Ellen family is one of the more subtle and sophisticated links in our Heritage collection. With a focus on the iconic braided Ellen design, each piece of jewellery is crafted with passion and precision by our skilled silversmiths in Bali. The 925 silver links are hand-woven together, taking two days to assemble one Ellen bracelet and a total of seven days to complete the work of art. The dark oxidation applied to the silver adds depth and signature Buddha to Buddha touch to the pieces.

The Ellen collection has a board range of bold yet elegant pieces that are suitable for both men and women. The collection consists of bracelets, earrings and rings, including the subtle Ellen XS with beautifully refined details - one of our very best-selling items. To celebrate Buddha to Buddha's 25th anniversary in 2022, we have temporarily added limited edition jewellery to the Ellen family, featuring 14-carat golden elements and the powerful Spinel stone. Spinel, also known as the stone of immortality, is renewing and rejuvenating, providing strength, courage, self-confidence, and perseverance. This special stone also enhances your connection to the earth's energy and represents class and elegance. The Ellen family is timeless and perfect for those looking for sophisticated and subtle jewellery that can be worn for many years to come.

Looking to make a statement with your jewellery collection? Look no further! The Esther link is an iconic family in the Heritage collection. Handmade with meticulous craftsmanship, each link is interwoven to create a bold and sophisticated look. An Esther bracelet is not easy to make. There are as many as 80-90 links in one bracelet. Each link is hand-twisted and cut from silver wire and then woven together with true craftsmanship. The weaving takes about 2-3 days for a single bracelet. Likewise, even 4-6 days for one double Esther band! These bracelets are also custom-made, with the centrepiece 'growing' with the size.

The Esther collection includes powerful rings and earrings in addition to its iconic bracelets. To celebrate Buddha to Buddha's 25th anniversary in 2022, limited edition items with 14-carat gold elements and spinel stones were added to the collection.

Whether you're looking for a timeless piece for yourself or a unique gift for a loved one, the Esther collection is perfect for both men and women. Upgrade your jewellery collection with a bold and sophisticated touch with the Esther link family.
